GENERAL INFORMATION
Galyatető lies at the second highest point of the Mátra Mountains at 956 meters above sea level, but Grandhotel Galya is the highest-situated hotel in Hungary.
This newly refurbished all-season wellness and conference hotel offers you up-to-date facilities surrounded by fresh mountain air and a mild sub-alpine climate. The yearly hours of sunshine are above the national average at this scenic place. Grandhotel Galya was built from 1937 to 39 in the middle of a lovely, 5-acre park surrounded by forests, providing ideal conditions for relaxing walks.
HOTEL INFORMATION
The Aqua Park, the gravel-bed Kneipp pool, the salt chamber, the bubble bath and various massages invite you to relax and rejuvenate body and soul. Spend the sunny hours either on the large terrace or strolling around in the 5-hectare park.
Technical equipment for conferences comprises various audiovisual equipment, flip charts, photocopying machines and the like. The conference rooms can be darkened.
TRAVEL INFORMATION
From Budapest: exit M3 at kilometre marker 70 km, in the direction of Gyöngyös-Hort, then – in Gyöngyös – turn at the Mátrafüred/Parád sign. Following this, looking for the Galyatető sign, you will reach the hotel after approximately 28 km. From Budapest by coach: along the Budapest - Gyöngyös - Galyatető line. Transfer is possible in Gyöngyös or Pásztó, but there is also direct service from Népstadion.

In its elegant environment, with a large, panorama terrace, breathtaking view of the Mátra, Panoráma Restaurant offers Hungarian dishes and game specialities, while Mátra Restaurant welcomes you with a terrace and an observation kitchen, offering a wide assortment of Latin dishes in its hall and terrace with a special atmosphere
You can have refreshments in the pool bio bar. Our lobby bar offers pleasant evening relaxation.
Campfire parties, grill parties, wine-tasting with the inauguration of the wine-general, standing receptions, gala dinners – under the supervision of famous chefs.
